Gattinara’s Wine Cellar
Gattinara's Regional Enoteca (Wine Cellar) was established in 1999 in order to reintroduce and protect the local wines: a goal that goes integrated with another objective, that of valuing the gastronomical traditions of the territory, emphasizing the historical, social and cultural characteristics.
For this reason, the Regional Enoteca promotes and organizing numerous initiatives aimed at striking the interest and curiosity of both tourists and those who live in this territory on a daily basis.
Villa Paolotti, at one time the historical wine Shop of Gattinara, today is theEnoteca ‘s home. This 19th Century manor house with a cloistered internal courtyard is the ideal backdrop for gatherings, meetings, and weekends dedicated to samplings: events which make-up the main activity of the Enotecaand have in the last couple of years gathered more and more support from the public.
The Enoteca also organizes visits to the vineyards and the hills, in order to experience a 360° encounter with the world of winemaking and a natural environment of historic charm. All to be enjoyed with a walk or a hike or a ride on a mountain bike or a horse, exploring the rows of vines and the secular villages, rich in art and history, and relishing at a closer distance the wisdom of the wine-makers.
