From the Church of Alagna (m 1200) goes on the road always straight for about 1 km until Merletti (1271 m) - Wold: here there is a large car park where you must leave the car and continue on foot (or with the shuttle bus in summer). Immediately after the chapel of St. Anthony, about 4 km from Alagna, starts the path n. 6: the trail winds at first on a flat stretch along the river, then just before the Alpe Stiga began a long series of steps, after which you reach the Rifugio Pastore at the wide expanse of meadows of Alpe Pile (m 1575), where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the south face of Monte Rosa. Alternatively, you can reach Alpe Pile continuing on the paved road past the chapel of St. Anthony to the square Acqua Bianca (1 497 m), where the eponymous waterfall breaks, heading down the path placed at the bottom of the square. Almost immediately after the entrance of the path you will come across in the path n.7a, that leads to Passo Turlo, then you can admire the boilers of the Sesia, and finally the path splits to bring to the Rifugio Barba Ferrero (2230 m) at the Alpe Vigne.
